Set right after the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua, an ex-guerrilla fighter named Paco Jarquín—known as “The Last Commander”—chooses to deny his glorious past and live anonymously as a dance teacher in neighboring Costa Rica, unlike his former comrades who embraced fame and politics.
