Since 1995, Del Oro has produced tropical fruit juices and concentrates in the border zone with Nicaragua, contributing to local economic development. Its orange plantations and processing plant sit on the slopes of Orosí Volcano, north of Costa Rica’s Central Range. The company employs 240 permanent workers and over a thousand during harvest season. The farm spans more than 3,000 hectares of orange groves for juice and concentrate production.
