Damián a 40 year old costa rican travels to Canada to meet with his childhood friend Rex who is now a wild mushroom picker, Rex invited Damian to participate in the morel picking season, a wild mushroom that grows in the ashes of a burnt forest and is highly praised by high cuisine. Rex intention is that by picking mushrooms Damian would be able to break out of his depression caused by the recently lost of his partner. Living in the camp, surrounded by the ashes of the devastating fire that burnt the forest, mingling with the pickers Damian is able to see the possibility of leaving his pain behind, let it turn in to ashes so that it mutates into a treasure.
